This elegant 100% silk scarf is inspired by the delicate pencil and watercolour study G F Watts created between 1854 and 1855 for the drapery around Diana in Apollo and Diana. Watts’s preparatory studies were central to his process, allowing him to refine colour, composition and fine detail before completing the fresco.

In the finished work, Diana is shown in a flowing robe patterned with stars, and that celestial detail is echoed in this scarf’s design. Made in England by Beckford Silk, the scarf is individually boxed, hand-finished with rolled edges, and issued in a limited edition of 26.
