“This etching with aquatint arose out of freely worked charcoal sketches. The image depicts three figures by a window, quietly poised between reflection and hope. The scene captures the fragile anticipation of what a new day may bring.

My subjects are a merging of the here and now and the imagination.  Figures often appear to be searching for their place in the world, reflecting on past experiences and future hopes. The beginning of a print can be a word or phrase, something seen or remembered which is developed through drawings and sketches from life into an imaginary composition.”

Please note that works can only be collected when the exhibition ends on February 10th.
