This design is from one of three terracotta corbels from the Watts Chapel created by Mary Watts in 1905. These take their subjects from the 'I am' sayings of Jesus:
'I am the way, the truth and the life' (St John 14:6) The Way is represented by the labyrinth which symbolises the spiritual journey through life. Mary's inspiration was an illustration from a book published in 1891, Architecture, Mysticism & Myth.

This terracotta tile is frost resistant and can ne hung outdoors as well as indoors.
