Jacqui Mair is an illustrator and artist based in Southsea, Hampshire. She studied Fine Art at Bristol Polytechnic, graduating with a First Class degree, before going on to take an MA in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art, London. Over the past 35 years she has combined her artistic practice with lecturing for institutions including Camberwell School of Art, Glasgow School of Art, Kingston School of Art and the University of Portsmouth. Mair worked for the renowned card company Roger la Borde for over twenty years and for clients including the Financial Times, Microsoft UK, The New Yorker, British Film ASsociation and Marks & Spencers.

Mair has also illustrated numerous award winning books on folklore with Albion Press, Ebury Press and Cico Books. From 2005-2007, Mair worked abroad with Save the Children and UNICEF, running creative print workshops for children in Africa, Liberia and Columbia, followed by teaching for five years in the USA and France. Mair has exhibited across the UK and internationally, including in Mexico, India, USA and France and now works on commissions and workshops from her studio.
